Fall 2015: College Algebra
"Caroline was the most effective math instructor that I have ever had. She has the ability to explain concepts in a manner that I fully understand and that allows me to apply them to other situations. I would very highly recommend her to ANY student who struggles in math."
"Very well-taught class. One of the kindest and most effective instructors I have had. This course helped boost my confidence in a subject where I've had little confidence in the past. The system of expressing concepts clearly and concisely and then moving on to working through examples worked extremely well."

Fall 2016: College Algebra
"My teacher was awesome. She really cares about making sure students understand what is happening in class and how to solve problems and was very open to helping during office hours or after class as well. I am weak in math but as the semester progressed I feel [sic] much more confident in my math abilities."
"Professor Yang is very passionate about teaching this course and the success of her students. She goes above and beyond to accommodate her students to ensure that they receive the best learning experience possible. She is patient and kind."

Spring 2017: Multivariable Calculus
"Ms. Yang was one of the best teachers I have had at UNC. She explained complicated course material in an effective and approachable manner. It is rare that a professor can explain a difficult subject in such an articulate way. I applaud Ms. Yang and I think that my experience in Calculus 3 would be very different without her guidance."
"Incredible teacher. I am still not sure if she's a full professor or a grad student because she teaches so well it feels like she's been doing it for a very long time. Extremely straight forward when it comes to teaching us what we will need to know for exams, and math courses in the future. Her pacing was excellent the whole year, and I never felt like I was bored or rushed in class. She made calc 3 seem easy, which is no simple task. Very professional and articulate in class, also was interesting and charming at times. I have zero complaints with Caroline Yang, she is the best math teacher I've ever had. Extremely impressed."

"Caroline Yang is one of the greatest teachers I have come across at UNC thus far. She is by far my favorite math professor/grad student I have had. She made me more confident and comfortable with the material than I would have been with someone else."
