As a former high school teacher, I have a lot of experience explaining difficult concepts in a clear, accessible manner. I aim to boost the confidence of students and decrease any math anxiety they may have by promoting a safe, non-judgmental learning environment where they are allowed to make mistakes and ask questions. Although I have used a lecture-based teaching style as a graduate instructor due to the many constraints on my time, I am a firm believer in the importance of inquiry-based, active learning strategies.
